Faith Knows No Bounds


 

Holy Week is the most significant week in the Christian calendar year because it remembers Jesus' last hours and crucifixion. We commemorate Jesus' birth, death, and resurrection during this season. We recall his deeds, consider his teachings, and renew our commitment to acting as his disciples in the present. The eight-day period known as Holy Week gives us the chance to consider the transformation in humanity that Jesus' death on the cross sparked. 


I was disappointed that we couldn't go to the Visit Iglesia  because of our difficulties and the transportation, but I made an effort to be as active as I could. We weren't able to get together with my family because we were too busy and didn't have enough time, which I completely understood. Despite this, I was disappointed because before the pandemic, we had a tradition of visiting the church, and I had been looking forward to it. Hopefully, we will do this again next year. 


I was raised a Roman Catholic, but I wasn't particularly involved in my faith until recently, especially during Semana Santa, when I was able to ponder and deepen my relationship with the Lord, something I'm proud of. Even if I haven't arrived yet, I can confidently state that my confidence in the Lord has grown. In essence, even though we didn't travel or get together this time, I am still content that I was able to further my relationship with the Lord.

Essence of Giving

  We all know that December 25 is the day of Christmas, which is to say that this is the day we give gifts to the closest people in our life. When we think of Christmas we all think about gifts, which is true, but for me the most important is that they took their time to pick a gift for me. They were willing to spend time to buy and wrap a gift and what I found endearing the most is that they thought of me. Gifts are just a bonus for me, it is the thought that I appreciate very much. The Beauty of Vigan City

This festival is held to commemorate yhe separation of the two Ilocos in 1818. It starts at the end of january and ends at the first week of february. Specifically it starts on the 25th of january. This dau is also a feast day of the conversion of St. Paul the Apostle, he is the Vigan Citys Patron Saint. He was known as Paul before his conversion. At this time, many Filipinos return to their hometown to celebrate and join their familyand friends. Visitors are also expected to come to watch the cultural shows that are prepared by the government with the help of local industries and communities. The fiesta has a lot of activities, it showcases the indigenous performances, religion rituals as well as cookimg the best Ilocano dish.
